It Is nearby stations and Nijo-jo. There is a washing machine in the room which helps us a lot during the stay. There is a ramen shop nearby at the main road and we found that the ramen served are much tasty than those we went in the city.

Great value, accessible by bus

Take a bus from the station and easy walk from bus stop. No combo washer, but using a in-bathroom drying with same or better effect: remember to start it using controller on the wall. Overall fantastic value and quality.

設備に関しては納得していたレベルなので満足していますが、利用方法の告知に関して不満が大きいです。 無人チェックインの方法についてメールが届いたのがチェックイン開始30分前で、こちらがPCメールを受信設定していたこともあり、現場でメール着信に気づけず、電話で問い合わせをする必要があり、また宿泊税の支払いについても、メールでの案内には朝9時以降にフロントで支払うように指示があったものの、9時以降にフロントには誰もおらず、また電話で問い合わせると「室内に現金を置いておけばよい」との回答。そうであればまた旅のプランニングも変わったので、（フロント支払いのためにスケジュールを調整する必要はなかった…）事前にその旨を伝えてくれればよかったのに、と不満でした。 ゲストハウスと言っても清潔で相部屋もなく、素泊まりするには十分納得できる設備だっただけに、利用方法の不案内さだけが際立って不満でした。いちいち電話しなければ利用方法が分からない、というのは、この時代にそぐわないです。 ただ、今回利用して、ロケーションも設備も満足し、利用方法も把握したので、今後コストカットして京都旅行をしたいときには再利用すると思います。

Great stay, poor customer service

My wife and I had a great time in Kyoto. This guest house was within walking distance of the Nijo Castle, and within a few blocks of a subway station that connected to whereever we wanted to go. The guest house room was small, but misern, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The washing machine in our room was a great plus. The only negative was the customer service. The Hotels.com reservation said that we would be contacted with check-in instructions. We received some emails from the guesthouse, but the only check-in instruction in those emails was that someone would give us a key when we arrived. Confusingly, the hotels.com information also said we should make arrangements for check-in since the desk at the guest house is usually unattended. So as the day came to travel from Tokyo to Kyoto, and we didn't know how to get the key to our prepaid room, we were concerned. So we used incurred roaming charges and international chares to call the number on the reservation. A woman answered. After we explained the situation, the woman said she would email us at noon instructions on how to get the key to our room. Noon came and went with no email. So we called again, again incurring large phone charges. This time a man answered and said we had been sent the instructions and refused to give them over the phone until we called again at the guest house entry. A third expensive call later, and after spending $20 to store our luggage, we finally got the key.

楽しく滞在できました

住宅街に位置していて、とても静かで快適に滞在できました。少し歩けばお洒落なバーやレストランがありました。20分ほど歩けば新京極へも出られ、退屈しませんでした。部屋はとても清潔で過ごしやすかったです。浴室内で洗濯乾燥ができたのでとても助かりました。ハンガーは部屋に4つしかなかったので持参しました。

The hotel is close to Nijojo palace and buses that can take you to other key sights in Kyoto. The area is a little quiet. The hotel was comfortable - the admin will send you an email message with instructions to get your key from lockers in the foyer. It was a little disconcerting, arriving in the middle of the heatwave and finding nobody was there to meet us, but we worked it out! And the room is equipped with washing and drying facilities as well as a kitchen.

O hotel não possui recepção e você faz seu próprio check in com os dados que eles mandam por e-mail, mas não recebemos nada e ficamos um tempão lá pra resolver isso. Fora isso a localização é ótima e é bem limpo.
