"We’ve been away for a month and this is the best hotel. Roof bar with a view over the Peace Park and a superb Italian restaurant on the ground floor were so nice. It has been really well thought through. The reception staff are great and helped us plan the next part of our trip. Really genuine and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful and the girl making pizzas does such a fantastic job. We were so impressed we booked another stay in the Knot, Fukuoka. One small piece of feedback is that the free drinks are a lovely touch but could be served in glass not plastic."

"Room view over the old fort and city and hills is beautiful as is the ocean view from the top floor bar. However the wash basin in our room was very old and cracked in multiple places. The swimming pool and gym is a private club and guests have to reserve a time slot and pay $40 to use. There is no ala carte breakfast menu and no coffee (only tea) in room."

"Terrible smell as smoking is allowed in the middle of the entrance lobby. Also, the smallest and outdated bathroom facilities. Check-in staff was most helpful, but when we asked to call a taxi upon departure, we were given a card with a telephone number… When we explained that we don’t speak Japanese and the taxi company certainly doesn’t speak English… they very reluctantly called for us… Troubling to say the least! Other than that, the location is perfect if you want to visit the museum and drop-off site."
