"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. "We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. We booked the half-board package (one night with dinner and breakfast), and both meals were delicious. We especially loved the breakfast buffet, which offered a great variety of fresh and tasty food. The only minor disappointment was the rooftop foot bath, which didn’t quite meet our expectations. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others."

"We had an amazing stay here in a western style room with our private onsen. The stuff is amazing, super friendly, and always responsive. The dinner is a multicourse Japanese dinner, and the breakfast is a mixed Japanese and western style buffet breakfast with extensive choices. They’ll pick you up and drop you off at the train station, which was great. We enjoyed the tea service, evening drum show, firefly viewing, and walking around the beautiful garden.. they have an upstairs and downstairs onsen How do you recommend this resort?"

"For only staying two days, I was very impressed. The staff are great, rooms are larger than most in Japan, Onsen was amazing (had to use skin tape over tattoos to go in), breakfast was good. The only thing I will say is the area in which this hotel resides is a bit questionable during the night, though I never had any issues. Would absolutely stay there again."

"All the staff were so kinds and friendly. Breakfast had lots of options we really enjoyed it. We could see the Mt. Fuji from the restaurant and our room and it was just beautiful. There were two restaurant and food was amazing. We highly recommend everyone to stay here. You won’t regret it."

Kawaguchiko Hotel

"Kawaguchiko Hotel is an older property and we stayed in a traditional room on futons instead of in a modern hotel room. The futons were comfortable. Our room was a little hot, but we did not go to management to try to have that fixed. There was plenty of space to spread out (there were three of us traveling together), including a cute seating area by the window. They happily held our luggage for us when we arrived early, and provided a ride to the train station in the morning (which was very nice)."
