Nice surroundings full of plants, located on the beach. Bungalows have a good concept and I like that, but the beds realy needs to be replaced. Old and worn out mattresses. Mosquito net over the bed comes really handy. Few friendly dogs roaming around. They are ok until they start to bark in the middle of the night 😂.

Terrible room. Scruffy. Chipped paint. No kettle etc. very very too much money for the room. This has had numerous bad reviews. Why is it still on Expedia? The listing needs removing

This property is nothing less than a SCAM. BEWARE OF STAYING HERE. long story short, the room we booked had no pictures on the website. When we arrived we were surprised to see that the room is dirty, built in a very unsafe and incomplete way. There were BUGS all over the shower which was not fully blocked from the outside. Sheets were dirty. When trying to reach the staff for an option to move a room the staff was rude and unpleasant. We ended up checking out ONE DAY AFTER CHECKING IN because of how underwhelming and inconvenient was the “room”. I sincerely recommend anyone to find an alternative and stay away from there. P.s While struggling with our own room we met another girl who booked 12 days at the resort, who had to manage a room where the shower has NO DOOR AND THERE ARE SNAILS ALL OVER THE FLOOR….

Would return in a heartbeat

We had a lovely stay here, we had only planned to stay one night but couldn’t resist a second, the lady who owns it was just super lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful, and the food was lovely!! Perhaps a little more expensive if your tight back packers like us but totally worth it, hence our second night!

+ : The location and beach are unique and beautiful. Relax and friendly atmosphere. - : No breakfast before 9 am, no lunch before 2 pm, orders take minimum 45 min to 1 hour to get ready. The room is very basic and would need some maintenance (holes in mosquitoe net, paint, not much space to store anything. It's a lovely place, perfectly located which needs some very basic fix to improve the whole experience.

J'ai réservé ce bungalow parce qu'il était sur la plage malheureusement avec la foule Moon la marée étais où tu es je n'ai pas beaucoup pu profiter de la plage de volcan galop il y a un bar de l'hôtel qui fait restaurant indien également quand je suis arrivé il y avait pas de cv de toilette j'ai dû attendre pour les avoir une petite heure quand on vient d'arriver de 16h de voyage on a qu'une envie c'est de prendre une douche bref les draps étaient tachés on m'a dit qu'il était propre bon ok admettons le mobilier si on peut parler de mobilier était très vieux de vieux lit en fer forgé avec un matelas très dur mais finalement j'ai bien dormi dessus il y avait rien pour poser la valise heureusement il y avait un 2e lit qui m'a servi pour poser ma valise la salle de bain est vêtu mais elle fait le job ne vous attendez pas à des belles finitions c'est la Thaïlande c'est un petit bungalow en bois sans insonorisation mais j'ai passé quand même un bon séjour au final juste à la sortie du village végan donc pour moi c'était le top on est entre zen beach et Secret Beach donc on peut aller aux deux à pied

HCPR... This is a place for the traveler, the backpacker, and the adventurous. To some this will not be comfortable, but everything you need is provided and it readily can become "home" when you given it a chance. My bungalow had a mosquito net, fan, hot water, and towels. There is good wifi in the reception area, and the chef for the Indian restaurant is incredible. The reception area is right on the water's edge, and there is a friendly mix of people that keep the place running. Most of the staff are volunteers, traveling for months on end and earning their stay by working. They have incredible stories and a wealth of insight! Haad Chao Phao is located just a little south of Samma Karuna's, a known yoga venue. It is an easy walk to many cafes, beaches, shops, and bars. There are scooters and laundry services immediately near the entrance. Taxis are also readily available, and reception can call one for you if you'd like. If you are looking for a nice resort with air conditioning and room service, this is not the place. If you're looking to meet people and have a place to safely store your things between exploration and sleeping, then you'll be happy here!

We booked the Basic Room, 1 King Bed - according to the photo a BAMBOO BUNGALOW (we were especially looking for that type !) but the bamboo type bungalows are all a thing of the past at Hadd Chao Phao. Heavy construction work on so called "modern bungalows" is on now.

Zwanglose Naturnahe Unterkünfte

Dieses Hotel bietet verschiedene hüttchen zum mieten an. Sie sind alle zweckmäßig eingerichtet und haben einen Ventilator. Es gibt nicht so viel Platz um seine Sachen unterzubringen und die Wände und Türen lassen den Wind und die Naturgeräusche in die Zimmer ein. Man fühlt sich der Natur sehr verbunden. Es gibt keinen Zimmerservice, also kein Handtuchwechsel und keiner der mal die Hütte durchfegt. In der Bar/Lobby/Rezeption wird kein Frühstück angeboten. Es gibt nur ein Indisches Restaurant mit indischen Gerichten. Trotzdem ist die Stimmung sehr friedlich und relaxed, so dass man gut entspannen kann :) Fazit: Für Backpacker genau richtig und sehr günstig

Wonderful bungalow with amazing view

Really beautiful Bungalows with a terrace and perfekt view! Located directly at the sea, clean and really friendly staff. We had nothing to complain about. The straff was really helpful with every question we had. Our favorite one was Jonny, the dog of the owners. He is really calm and beautiful. The Porridge with milk and fresh fruit at the restaurant with sea view Was really great! We would come back every time :)

Jeder Euro zu viel!

Bei der Ankunft wurden wir zunächst freundlich begrüßt. Die Bungalows stellten sich allerdings als unhygienisch und gesundheitsgefährdend dar. Das Dach hatte schon bessere Zeiten erlebt. Leckagen an einigen Stellen waren somit der Grund für ein nasses Zimmer. Das Gepäck konnte nicht trocken abgestellt werden und die einzige Trockenmaßnahme erfüllte ein Ventilator (auf den es übrigens auch geregnet hat, denn das Dach war ja undicht). Abstehende rostige Nägel aus dem Boden boten jede Menge Verletzungsgefahren. Am schlimmsten traf uns allerdings der Schlag, als wir feststellten, dass Matratze und Laken voller undefinierbarer Flecken waren. Auch das Handtuch war schon verschmutzt und voller Löcher. Auch die Moskitonetze sind voller Löcher gewesen. Als wir die Hotelangestellten darauf hinwiesen, wurden wir mit unserer Beschwerde "belächelt". Als Gast wurden wir mit unserer Sorge nicht ernst genommen. Am Ende sollten wir das Hotel verlassen und so mussten wir uns in der Hauptsaison auf die Suche nach einer Unterkunft begeben. Für weniger Geld gibt es übrigens nebenan ein super Hotel mit dem besten Service. Das Haad Chao Phao Resort ist zwar günstig, aber auch für günstig sollten Hygiene, Sicherheit und zuvorkommendes Personal als Standard gelten.

Not the worst place I've seen in the island...

I've got a very simple bamboo bungalow ; it was quite clean , but with minimal facilities . They were reconstructing the whole place and the area around my bungalow looked like a construction place: woods and tools everywhere and a huge old fridge in front of my door. They told me twice they would remove it, but they didn't in the three days I spent there . I had to wake up at 8.30 am due to all the noise from that work . The other bungalows on the same beach are more value-for-money

Next to the beach

Very low standard bamboo houses, mattress lays directly on the floor. Not very comfortable or good looking. But the hotel is located in a nice location on Koh phangan. Very quiet, most of the other guests were yoga- students. Food is very expensive for Thailand.

обычное бамбуковое бунгало.

Довольно таки потрепанный отель. Если основная цель сидеть в отеле то это не для вас. Во время стирки, через отель бежит мыльная вода, индийский ресторан на мой взгляд дороговатый а тайские блюда так себе тут. Но очень вкусный чай масала

Nice hotel close to the beach

Great location, great staff. Bamboo bungalow i stayed in was very basic but comfortable, decent sized bed, decent bathroom but no hot water .. it was perfect for sleeping, freshening up and getting changed - what more do you need. Dorm beds are a little harder and have no Mozzie nets so I got eaten alive the 1 night I stayed in there. That's the only reason I didn't give a perfect score. Food served on site was delicious. I would return again and again.
