"My travel experience with hotel, Irma began after reserving a room, four months in advance. My credit card was billed immediately for the full amount. Shocked. Upon arrival, we were informed that the manager had removed all the refrigerators from the hotel rooms and that it was against hotel policy to consume any food or drink that was not purchased on the hotel property. Our ocean view room did not have any dresser drawers so we lived out of our suitcases on the floor most of our trip. The hallway outside my room door was a daily garbage collection site. My wife and I ate at the restaurant several times, but found the food generally dry and lacking taste. The pools are incredible. The list of rules that this hotel has is excessive . The manager does not appear interested in engaging her guests in conversation We will never stay at this hotel again nor recommended to anyone else."

"Pros: Nice pool open until 9pm. Rooftop terrace. Clean room, a/c works well. Friendly helpful staff. Great location for restaurants, markets, transit. Complimentary water dispensers. Really good complimentary continental breakfast: fruit, cereal, toast, coffee. Cons: Doors of adjacent rooms can be loud/jarring."

" Very clean and well maintenance. Staff were kind and very helpful. Located near downtown Zihuatanejo and The beach making it easier to get where you need. Very family friendly area with a pool that has an area for kids especially Toddlers. Rooms are clean and simple mainly comfortable. Overall a great spot for travel. "

"Everything is perfect at Aura del Mar. We prefer the Superior Suite because of the extra room and the elevated view. The pool area is excellent with plenty of shade. Another few steps and you are on the beach! The restaurant has amazing food. We loved the nightly happy hour on the sunset viewing deck. Abel treats his customers like family. Roxy at the front desk and Carlos who books excursions are both helpful and making every guest feel at home."

"Infested with ants, bedding was stained, towels were very worn and had holes, air conditioner was very loud. The pool was nice and the bed was comfortable. "
