If you want the authentic Jamaican experience, this is the property for you. THE FOOD! There's no need to go out to eat, tell Tamara what you want and watch her blow your mind. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plus fresh fruits and herbz right from the garden.
The house is surrounded by fruit trees and dense foliage, making it PRIVATE and extremely relaxing to sit out enjoying the vibes. I was lucky enough to be visited by a hummingbird on my last day. You'll share the bathroom with the hosts and one other guest room. Like I said it's the authentic Jamaican yard experience, so no AC and limited hot water. But you get way more than what you pay for at the price point. A driver and a tour guide is available on site. The location is central to Kingston and the St. Andrew Blue Mountains, giving you the option of both city and country experience nearby. I was super satisfied with my stay here.
The home was authentic Jamaican, gated and secure. I arrived late in the day with an emerging dental emergency. The next morning this required immediate attention. The Hostess Tamara walked with me to a nearby Dental Centre to be successfully treated. As I returned and departed for the International Airport, the host Shane taxied me to the airport for a flat $25 rate as advertised, (airport taxis were asking for $35-$45 for the same transport.)
The hosts were welcoming, attentive and gracious. This home is a no brainer choice for any budget minded traveller who doesn't want to compromise security.
you are basically their hostage, as they lock you behind an iron gated entry and you have no key. no privacy or freedom. also this is located in bad part of town
