"Annexe to owner's house. We made the best of our stay, travelled around the lakes & enjoyed the hot tub. Property is clean and tidy. "Stayed for two nights here in August 2026. Parking was included and undercover so great for a short stay to just leave it there safely. The room was ok, if not a little tired. With marks on the wall, and MDF work surfaces looking frayed. The room was comfy, excellent mattress and pillows, though in a heatwave, due to it being an old mill it was stifling hot. A fan was available but that just moves the heat around. Plugs were sparse, and you'll need a usb charger plug as they aren't integrated plugs yet. Staff were fabulous, really helpful, the barman was a hoot, and so friendly with guests. English Breakfast was fresh and hot, there was a plentiful choice of cereals, fruit and drinks too. We ate at night in the Tannery room, burger and a small fish and chips, both were plentiful and fairly priced. Finally it was a welcome bonus to have a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room available for guests to use after a full day discovering the lakes. A really pleasant stay, the hotel rooms could do with a bit of updating, though the gym, pool, bar were fresh, but it's all a matter of cost."
