"We stayed here as part of a team with 5 rooms and this was a major disappointment.
At check-in, I was told there would be an additional charge of 5 dollars per child over 12 per day, on top of what I booked on hotels.com. I was charged this for the 2 17 year olds in our room "to better accommodate" them. When I asked what that meant, she repeated "to better accommodate them" over and over. When I pressed, she said "to better accommodate them at breakfast and in case of noise complaints". They didn’t even eat breakfast. I dont recall agreeing to this when booking, and the only “policy” was posted at the front desk, which you obviously can’t see ahead of time.
Our coach questioned it and was not charged at all. I was not so lucky. I was told a manager would be contacted, but nothing was resolved.
The smell is awful. It stinks. Smells like cat pee and heavy perfume throughout the room, hallways, and elevator. One person in our group had to switch rooms because the ammonia smell was so bad and was told they were "accidentally" put in a pet room.
Maintenance issues too. TV remote didn’t work, phones didn’t work, and the explanation involved humidity and copper parts. Batteries were replaced, still didn’t work.
Room was mostly clean-ish, beds tight, but corners were dirty and the toilet barely flushed. Lukewarm showers at best.
If I wasn’t with a team, I would have left."
