"relative to the costs involved this met my needs. it was accessible to countryside and seaside both sides of the border which was my main objective. there is much history , with many sites of importance, close at hand(i.e within 30-40 miles "

"Wonderful venue close to the coast, the beautiful Northumberia landscape and Scotland Food was first class (breakfast and evening meals) and the rooms and staff were delightful "

"Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "
