"The hotel staff was very helpful in finding us a room without a musty smell. The pool, hot tub and bikes were great amenities. Convenient to many places for dining. Would’ve been nice to have coffee in the lobby. Coffee supplies in the room needed a better selection."

"We got off to a rocky start. The first cottage we were in had water damage and had a musty moldy smell. We reached out to the front desk and they were able to move us to a different cottage. The second cottage was more than adequate clean and very quiet. Even with the luau going on it was still quiet. Beach access was accessible and very close. The pools areas were very clean and very nicely kept. The tiki bar left a little bit to be desired with food choices and pricing. Breakfast was okay could have been better and was overpriced. Lots of better options in town in kapaa. We would stay there again if the opportunity arose. Parking was wonderful being right outside the cottage. I will say that photos online are not exact so please be weary if you're looking for exactly what you paid for."

"It is close to but not on the beach. There is a path to walk to the beach. The Coconut Marketplace is right next door with stores and restaurants. The full kitchen was excellent. The pool and spa were great. Parking was close to our unit. There is one flight of stairs to carry your things up ifre you aon the 2nd floor. The resort was just what we needed for 2 nights."

"We had the unfortunate timing of being on Kauai during the approach and arrival of hurricane Lowell on Kauai. The staff of this property really made it stand out to us. We were scheduled to go elsewhere during the night the hurricane arrived but one of the staff members (Leidel) suggested we stay another night here due to it location on higher ground and our next property being in an expected storm surge flooding area. Leidel went out of her way to notify us as soon as there was a cancellation that opened a room for us to extend our stay the additional night. Although the storm was very severe, we were safe at this property and had no damage to our rental car. The other property we were going to did have storm surge and fallen limbs that would have destroyed our rental car. Thanks to the concerned staff and their knowledge of how storms affect the island, we were able to remain safe rather than dealing with damage during our visit."

Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort

"The Sheraton was our go-to when we evacuated Poipu due to hurricane Lowell. They were very accommodating providing food, water, etc even when no power was available in our room. Can’t say enough about how sweet the staff was during our stay, even though they were extremely shorthanded."
