バスタブの載った写真もあるがバスタブの水道栓はこわれたままでバスタブの 中でシャワーを浴びよということだった。エアコンも壊れていて別の部屋にかえてもらった。こわれたものは直さないというインドやスリランカの特徴の典型。部屋は6室あるが2号室と3号室は部屋番号表示も無くなっている
バスシャワールームでシャワーカーテンがない部屋やある部屋もあり、何もメンテナンスしていない。
夕食にイカ料理を注文したのにエビ料理が出てくる。その理由もろくに説明しない。
場所が集落の中の曲がりくねった道をくねくね走り、非常にわかりづらいし、ホテルの入り口にホテル名の看板もない。何から何まで最低のひどい嘘つきホテルだ。

"Upon check-in there was a mix up with the reservation, although this was immediately resolved and we were put in an excellent room right away. The hotel staff also provided a great breakfast and a safe driver to Ella. Would recommend to folks staying the night at Adam's peak. "

"Backyard Balangoda provides a great Sri Lankan experience, complete with a very friendly dog named Bruno! The incredibly kind owner made sure we had a wonderful stay, sharing interesting information about local life and tasty food. Breakfast, made with local ingredients, was wonderful, especially the tea from his garden and his own roasted coffee. Be sure to try the special Cinnamon Infused Ice Tea – it’s also lovely with some lemon gin in the evening! The scenery is amazing, and the waterfall tour is excellent.
If you want a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place. It's a great way to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!"
"A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. There is no air conditioning but some ceiling fans that do the job perfectly (we were never too hot at night) - the pool with the river view in room 10 was spectacular. We enjoyed the food and the service was really nice and kind. Ashley is a character and brings some personality to the table. It’s very isolated but it’s possible to get a Tuktuk to tea plantations (1h) or hike down to a waterfall close by. A beautiful stay! Thanks "
