"The rooms are clean and if you don’t get lost the road is close to the parking lot ( one of the Medina entrances ) When you come in , you walk down this ramp/ hill for the entrance and when you ar win take a right ! Then it’s another right a few “roads in” There is a sign you can follow but if you don’t make it that far you can get totally confused and lost . The staff was nice but right away they put me on the phone with someone and they seem to want to steer me away from other guides I had already booked . It’s like a competition and I do t care for tactics like that . Breakfast was good but included. Fair price . There are steep steps to get to rooms and of close Fes is steps and inclined areas to walk . I struggled because of mobility problems and I was already tired from other city visits prior in the week. Doing Fes first naught be the best . "

"we were nervous when we first arrived because we had to travel thru the medina to get to the Riad...the roads were like alleys-dark, spooky..like going thru a maze...google maps were not accurate..however, once we found it and came inside, Alassala was fabulous, the staff was excellent, the food was good, the rooms were fabulous, one staff member "Ali" went out of his way to help us with suggestions of where to go and how to get there"

"I had a lovely short stay in the Riad with my family. With 3 adults and two little children, the bunk beds added lots of excitement ! The owner and staff onsite are incredibly welcoming and kind. The Moroccan breakfast was delicious, generous and so pleasant as we were sat in the quiet patio on a clear and bright day. The Riad itself is an authentic small riad typical of the Moroccan old towns (Medina) -it’s been kept simple with no sophistication but in very good shape. It’s not very difficult to access just trust Google Maps or contact the owner for the live location share. As it’s in the heart of the old town there are several dining options nearby. "

"The Riad is beautiful, traditional. The staff (Hassan and others) were extremely attentive. They even put together a care package for us since we needed to leave early in the morning. This is a quiet Riad in a residential part of the Medina but very close to everything the Medina offers. The food was delicious (although this is not a Riad with a proper restaurant and does not have a bar). Comfortable beds and good water pressure! Highly recommended."

"Very cozy Riad. The staff are very warm and friendly! Breakfast was served at 9 and it was comforting and delicious. Fatima and her staff are great hosts. It is located really close the Blue Gate of the Medina and there are a few banks and atms, which is a plus! If you are a light sleeper, you might have some trouble sleeping because you can hear people if they come into the Riad "

"Location was central. Room were clean, comfortable and had amenities. Riad was beautiful. Breakfast was abundant. Parking is 5 min away for 40MAD for 24h. Close to the blue gate. Wifi was down while we were guests but otherwise, stay was comfortable. Front desk staff was very responsive and friendly. I would love to stay here again. "

"Riad Taryana was an incredible stay! Located right in the heart of the Medina, we really felt like we were part of the local culture. We were so close to everything (shops, restaurants, rooftop views, coffee shops, and all tourist attractions). We could also walk outside to see street performers at night. Our room was impeccably clean, and we had a balcony to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the city and mountains. The food was great for breakfast. The staff were so kind and helpful, going out of their way to carry our luggage and personally walk us to different shops for things that we needed. They also told us the city’s history and recommended attractions and tours. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will absolutely stay here again next time we are in Fes."
