Nice hotel in Kaohsiung

Pleasant hotel with good amenities (Yangtze restaurant was really good). But we especially appreciated the staff who were so helpful. Convenient area with lots of dining options. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with a pool You get a free drink in the bar which is nice Check in isn’t until 4pm though which is quite late Breakfast was great and very efficient Pool is fab although hot tub was far too hot Room was very spacious, good shower etc but the air con didn’t work very well so our room was around 23 degrees all night Overall ok hotel for a couple of days

The hotel is old and lots of facilities needed to be renovated. Staff are friendly and helpful and we could tell the housekeeping has tried their best to clean and maintain the room, yet the bathroom and the wardrobe look like it’s from the 1960s

The room is very dated and poorly maintained. There is mold stains in the grouts and staining in the fabric of furnitures and walls. We paid extra 1200NTD per night to upgrade the room but the supposedly renovated room still does not meet modern standards. I am very surprised this hotel has a 5 star rating. the staffs are nice though.

The location is good, breakfast is great, and service is excellent. The bathroom is a bit old but clean. We will stay at Howard Plaza Hotel Kaohsiung for our next visit to Kaohsiung.
