"3 mins walk from train and bus station, and staff are very welcoming. Check in took way too long. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern and you’re provided with a pair of japanese pj’s. For spare toiletries you have to ho down to reception. What was frustrating is you get a kettle and mugs in your room but no actual coffee. Your only option is to use the coffee machine down in reception. Bonkers and hence 4 rather than 5 star."

"Room was large and clean. They delivered fresh towels and drinking water daily. Quiet and right next to the station. There is a bike rental next door where we rented e-bikes and road all over Takayama. Great fun! Really good Katsu restaurant west under the tracks and then a few blocks straight to Starbucks. Turn right one block to Donkatsu. Well priced and good quality. Would stay here again in a heartbeat."
