What a great place to stay if you have an animal! The check-in cookie and the breakfast in the morning were amazing. Everything was so clean and thought out to accommodate humans and pets. We enjoyed our stay with our sleepover doggie from Best Friends.

We had an amazing time staying here. If only there could be more dog-centric lodging like this throughout the world. The details from the welcoming board, a decent size fenced green space for the dogs, pullout dog bed, buildings where dogs are welcome to join, layout of the entire complex and cleanliness of property throughout & there’s even a dog wash station open 24/7. There’s even a section dedicated to information of a partner rescue organisation with some great items for sale for both dogs as well as humans to support the org. They even had live outdoor music performance on a Saturday night! We would definitely come back again if we’re ever back in Kanab!

The room was very clean and pet-friendly. There were several nice extra touches-welcome cookies, a note, earplugs for dog or human snoring, great breakfast options, and really friendly and accommodating staff. Of course, the two dog areas in the back are super! Love that there are benches and toys for the dogs. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in a standard king. Super clean room with lots of space. Very well thought out, especially if you are traveling with pets! They don't advertise well, but there are passes to a nearby gym available if you ask at the front desk. I 100% recommend this hotel, and visiting the nearby Best Friends animal sanctuary while you're there.

You’re right—the ending cuts off awkwardly. Here’s a smoother, more natural version with a strong finish: My husband and I absolutely love staying at Best Friends Roadhouse & Mercantile, and it has become our go-to stop every time we’re driving through the area—even when we’re not traveling with our dogs! If you do have pets, there simply isn’t a better place. They truly make both people and dogs feel welcome, with delicious cookies for guests, treats for the pups, and a wonderful fenced dog park where they can run and play after a long day on the road. The rooms are always spotless, spacious, quiet, and incredibly comfortable, and you can tell the hotel was thoughtfully designed with both travelers and their pets in mind. The staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, and having someone at the front desk 24/7 is a huge plus. We also love the complimentary breakfast, which is fresh and convenient before getting back on the road. Every stay has been consistently excellent, and it’s rare to find a hotel that combines exceptional service, comfort, and such a genuine love for animals. We look forward to staying here every chance we get and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone traveling through the area—with or without pets!
