"The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel in Maui. The rooms are very nice. The food options seem to be all right, very good restaurants. The pool bar staff is amazing! The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was room service coming super early and then them not replacing dirty towels washcloths floor mats that they took when they did come to clean so we had to ask for them several times. We also had asked for toilet paper on more than one occasion. Besides those two small complain complaints I think it’s an amazing place with beautiful views."
"There is no way you can find a better place to stay in Maui. This is our first time to Hawaii and we’ve traveled a lot and this is the best place I’ve ever stayed. We could’ve spent four times as much staying at The Four Seasons next-door, but we walked over there for several meals, and our hotel was just as nice. We will be back! Amazing service and shout out to the manager, Adrian, who treated us like Kings and Queens."
"Overall a really nice stay at the Wailea. Our room got upgraded to a fantastic ocean view room in the Chapel wing. The pools were fantastic and so much fun with all the water slides. We would always arrive mid to late morning.
The breakfast buffet was not as good as I had hoped. All the baked items (pancakes, waffles, pastries, etc.) were super underwhelming and didn't feel fresh.
One thing really bothered me that I'm having trouble letting go of it. I ordered two drinks at the pool bar. When I went back to order a third the bartender told me he lost my first receipt and asked me to sign a new receipt for a charge of 3 drinks. I did however when I asked to confirm that the first charge would not appear on my bill I wasn't totally confident in his answer. So I texted the front desk to ensure I wasn't being double charged. It took them 28 hours from my first test to get back to me with an answer. This caused me extra anxiety and worry during one of my vacation days that felt so unnecessary and really stained the service of the hotel. All over a $75 drink order.... I don't understand why they couldn't get an answer to me sooner and never really got an explanation.
The last thing is they have no place to shower off after check out for those who fly out later. We had a red eye and stayed at the hotel way beyond checkout time. I had to fly home covered in sand and chlorine. My husband used soap in the beach showers to get as clean as possible."
"If there isn’t a wedding going on watch the sunset from the front lawn area by the old ice cream truck. Better view than from the birdcage. More open and less blockage.
Great high end vibe."
