"there was nothing about our experience that made it feel luxurious. First, the online check in system did not work, which meant that we had to do traditional check in and wait in line for that. there were only two people working check in, with a line of guests waiting, while there were three concierge members not doing anything at the time. then when we checked into our room, which was supposed to be a two bedroom suite, we found the connecting door was not unlocked, and we had to make a phone call to get that resolved. Then upon using the pool, we found out that the pool heater was broken and would not be functional our entire trip. Given that it was unseasonably cool, this was quite an issue. Next, on a day when it was warm enough to utilize the beach, upon asking for 5 towels for the five members of our party (not an extreme request) at the towel hut, I was met with disdain and the comment " I am running short of towels" and a blank stare. He finally gave me five towels after a moment of silence. This is not my problem, but the problem of the resort if there are not enough towels to serve one towel per guest. Finally, on day of check out, I asked for a late check out for two hours after check out, and was only able to get one hour, and not even offered any solution that would work, such as changing rooms or paying extra, just told "no". While none of these are huge issues by themselves, as a composite, they added up to an experience that did not meet the luxury one expec"
"Hotel staff was very welcoming and the check in process was easy. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Room was clean and had everything we needed, even laundry which was a welcome surprise. The highlight of this property is definitely the two pools and the walk up bar!"
"Vintage looking property, rainforest vibes. Our room had beach view, our room was clean and everything worked fine. Restaurant had awesome ocean view, service was ok, and food was ok. "
"This was the perfect family resort. Our kids loved the pools! Having a kitchen and washer/dryer is a huge convenience when traveling with young kids. Highly recommend!"
