Joplin is a nice mid-sized city in the Midwest. There's plenty there for dining and some shopping options. While not a major destination, it is a nice community.

When I saw the city was wonderful. We enjoyed the movie theater. We enjoyed Andy's. The Cracker Barrel was not the greatest but first watch was amazing.

We use to stay in Joplin every other year when our family traveled through to Texas to visit relatives. It was all small mom and pop motels well back when. So,was nice to progress in 50 years.

Seemed to be a good bit of food options nearby. If I had more time I would have tried something local. It was late and went with a place I know.

First time visiting Missouri so I don't have much to compare Joplin to but it wasn't bad. Some very cool little bars and shops nearby :)

I like many things about the community - but not the 20mph speed limit through downtown.

Been traveling to Joplin for years, just might need to find a new place to stay
"We stay at the La Quinta when we go the Joplin area! The staff is always friendly and accommodating! Love the indoor and outdoor pools, amazing outdoor family area! Breakfast is always good, the only thing that i would add to make it perfect, omelet bar! And most importantly this property is always clean, the rooms, the common areas, as well as the outdoors areas and surrounding grounds, and have never had a issue with safety or security. Would recommend this property to anyone traveling to the Joplin Mo. area! "
"If you have a NETFLIX OR PRIME CABLE SUBSCRIPTION, you can connect via your cell phone/ TV at no cost to you. So easy. Pool was great for a morning dip and the staff is friendly. I loved my stay and wouldn't hesitate to book here again."
"My husband and I were traveling Route 66 and decided to stay here. It's an original motel on the route. It brought back memories of my childhood. I would stay here again!"
