"Stayed in room 47, had to wait a good few minutes to check in. Humming noise all night coming from somewhere. Checked out and no mention if room was ok, just you owe £94, which everything was paid for and didnt owe anything. Henwas quite abrupt."

"Had a great stay at the County Hotel. Very close to Craigendoran train station and not far to walk into Helensburgh itself. The staff were really helpful. Unfortunately we slept through breakfast having been to a party until the early hours but when I apologised ( you preorder some of the items ) the member of staff asked if I wanted anything to eat. Would definitely stay again."

"The location of the property is glorious, spectacular views and if you do not wish to eat in the restaurant there are several others about a one mile walk away in Balloch or a short drive. Although our room was small, it was well decorated and had everything we needed. The only downside was having a room which overlooked the roadside. It was extremely noisy with guests and staff leaving/entering the building at all times of the night/early morning and the noise from the A82 from early hours was not good. You really need to take a room overlooking the water as it will be much quieter. Breakfast choice was really good however we were disappointed that several simple dishes e.g. eggs Benedict incurred an extra £5 charge! Selection of fruits was good however on our second morning they had no natural yogurt. Also too much oil used to cook the fried food. Scrambled eggs and porridge were however delicious. Overall a good stay and lovely staff throughout."

"Lovely hotel on the seafront. Generous breakfast with all options included in the room price. Very pretty old pub building and location. Free parking. Very good price. What more would you ask for!"

"For a 5 star hotel breakfast was not on point. It was a hot plate option. Dog friendly hotel but that does not mean dogs should be on seats. This was like a 5 star butlins. This hotel lives on a name. "

"Lovely staff,we were able to check in early,which was so helpful We ate in the restaurant and the food was really good with lots of variety. Ideally located and lots of little things in the room like little chocolates and water etc"
