"This place is heaven. The owners are a lovely couple who are genuinely lovely people. They designed this place themselves and the attention to detail is evident. The room was great with a stunning Mountain View and modern en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was a lovely plus too! We will stay here again when we’re in the area."

"Great staff and clean which was a pleasant surprise in a small mountain town. Had a great meal and tea. The tea is a must have if you enjoy Taiwan mountain tea. "

"The worst was that the smoking area is around the most popular exit of the hotel.
The breakfast area is too small and too crowd and I saw some who came late had to eat at the hotel lobby. The western style salad food is not enough. Overall, the breakfast provided was good. "

"Be aware this is an old dormitory facility. The rooms are basic but clean. The whole place smells a bit of mildew. Pillows are not good. There are many hills and stairs to get to some of the rooms. Breakfast was good. It was convenient to be inside the park starting the day, as we avoided some of the crowds from buses. "

"I absolutely loved my stay at Aliscenery. The view was breathtaking. Ian from the front desk was extremely helpful during our stay and spoke English, which helped. I recommend our driver, Mr. Lin. The B&B will recommend a few drivers because haling a taxi or calling an uber is next to impossible in Alishan. Mr. Lin was attentive, courteous, and considerate. He didn’t speak much English but would use Google Translate and tell us about Alishan and places to see during our rides in Alishan. Aliscenery was clean and I liked that they served dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was included but you will need to make reservations for dinner before a certain time. I believe it was before 4 pm. Dinner was hotpot with a choice of either beef or pork. It was well worth it! You can do a free tea tasting experience. The tea leaves were harvested from their very own plantations. It was an amazing experience overall and I would recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Alishan. "
"My room overlooking the village's central area provided interesting views into local life. Breakfast was available at the hotel's modest restaurant across the street. Helpful staff showed me the ingredients so I could build my own breakfast since I could not complete their Chinese language menu. The bathroom had its own onsen tub, so I did not use the spa."
"For travelers seeking an “authentic” Alishan experience, this local hostel offers a great deal. It lacks many of the amenities that tourists accustomed to Western lodgings will miss, but it is well-situated in the small township of Longtouping and is a great value for the area. Longtouping is on the bus route to Alishan national recreation area, about an hour further up the mountains. It is close to Shizhuo to the north, where you’ll find restaurants and tea shops, and Eryanping to the south, where a worthwhile trail begins.
Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. The only less than ideal feature were the mattresses, which we found too hard; they also sat right on the wooden floor.
The includes breakfast buffet was excellent and featured unique (and delicious) items such as steamed oolong bread and oolong tea baked bread. The proprietors were friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions.
We managed our visit without a car, although we did hire a taxi for a full day of touring to Fenqihu, Shizhuo, and other sights. "
