"I stayed at this hotel before but it was many years ago. Not much has changed. It’s conveniently located to most things that you would want to do or see in Richmond. The only complaint that I had during this particular stay was that someone left their dog in the room unattended and it barked all evening during our first night. "The room was good, clean, and even had little dove bottles of soap and shampoo. Front desk person was very friendly and got us checked in quick. Only complaint was the entire hotel smelled like weed which seems to be a trend in this area. I’ve traveled here a few times and all the hotels smell this way which is awful. Additionally we had to listen to stomping all night long from the floor above us. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t too bad. "

We ate in the restaurant one morning and enjoyed room service the next, and to be honest, I enjoyed room service so much more! Everything arrived hot/cold and exactly as I ordered it, and the hostess Eva was especially friendly and kind! I also loved the noon checkout because my husband was in a meeting all morning and I didn’t need to ask for a late checkout. The history and architecture of The Jefferson have been preserved and highlighted! What a gorgeous property!"
