Excellent experience all through.
Like being taken to another time-capsule and interesting artefacts everywhere.
Serviceminded staff all over and nice hote-guidance by charming & sweet Gita.
Can give it all my best recommendations and extremely good value for money.
House of Tugu is the latest hotel from the Tugu Group, which I have frequented many times.
This one is truly the masterpiece... the decor and mood is otherworldly. The room is spacious and very comfy. Breakfast was amazing and I really like their coffee.
Service is something that all Tugu hotels share, always warm, genuine, and caring. To me, this is the perfect weekend getaway hotel.
The House of Tugu is extraordinary, the best hotel I've experienced in 38 years of world travel. It's an oasis in the most densely populated city in the world. Adjacent to walking areas of Old Town Jakarta, it's a museum boutique hotel with exceptional courtyards, hallways, displays, restaurants, spa, and rooms each uniquely decorated. The staff and services are superb. We stayed two nights before heading to a small island beach, but then returned for 4 more nights so we could really soak in the experience.
The owner collected art and artifacts since 1970 and spent 21 years renovating, decorating, landscaping the Forbidden House of Tugu before opening about a year ago. This hotel will become hugely popular. Stay there while it's still accessible; it's utterly underpriced as they build their reputation and clientele. No one told me that, but this I believe. Breakfast and High tea is included.
Everything is special and extraordinary at House of Tugu. It's an oasis in the most populous city on the planet. The staff's attention to detail is outstanding, from flowers placed here and there, turn down service. The hotel itself is a museum, with uniquely decorated rooms. We stayed in The Colonial Room and highly recommend room 309, so long as you have a good sense of direction. It's a bit of a maze, which I'm proud to have easily mastered. It's all so beautifully interconnected and peaceful. I felt delighted at every turn. I enjoyed the spa services, all the meals, the coffee, high tea, the laundry service, the proximity just across the street to walking streets, a rare thing in Jakarta. After 38 years of world travel, I have found the best hotel of my life. I spent 2 nights there, then took a short trip, and returned for 4 more days to soak it all in. If you're in Jakarta, this is THE place to stay.

The hotel is amazing, filled with the spirit of it's creators.
This was the most amazing stay. We spotted this hotel from the outside 2 weeks earlier and reserved. It is a museum and epic adventure. The staff at every station were truly kind and concerned with our every need. The room is outstanding. Dining is wonderful. Welcome massage was divine.
Thank you for all your efforts to ensure our stay was perfect.
