"We had a great time at this B&B. The owner is wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The pool was very nice and needed at the end of a long hot day. The only negative thing I can think of is that there are a lot of insects about, so take some repellent."

"La villa est bien située, au calme des rues agitée de Modica. Le propiétaire est super acceuillant et bienveillant : bref, on se sentirai presque à la maison.
Les petits déjeuners sont assurés dans un petit café à l'entrée de Modica, facile d'accès et proposant de vrais et bon déjeuners Siciliens.
Seul point ne permettant pas de donner la note maximale : la faible insonorisation des chambres, on entend presquez tout ce qui se passe dans la maison. "

"The rooms are lovely, modern, well equipped and clean. Each room has a different name! ( we were in the 'Prince's Room').
Some things to know when staying at Carizza Rooms:
- Hotels.com has an incorrect check--in time listed (2-4p.). Actual check-in is 2-3pm unless you notify property in advance. ( we arrived at 3:40pm to a locked door and stood outside for 10+ mins until manager arrived!)
- The C-Rooms has a WhatsApp # (widely used in Europe): +39 331 359 1531
- there is no front desk or...

"Not being in the city center but walking distance makes the place quiet. Accommodation is basic. You may have a room with a view on the Mediterranean "

"Very well located near beautiful historic area of Noto. Owners are very helpful and friendly. They also run an excellent restaurant nearby. This is a b and b, not a full service hotel. "

"Very nice location, on the Main Street, less than 100 meters away from the main entrance to the city center. Hotel is a classical old house converted small hotel but nice and clean. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They contacted me many weeks before our arrival to communicate the parking detail and accommodated us on the room bed arrangement details. The welcome drink on the roof terrace and breakfast are the best we had on this trip!"
"I highly recommend this hotel.
Great location, clean, comfortable rooms, great staff and great assortment for breakfast. Hotel elevator takes you to town level."
"We just wrapped up our wonderful 11-night stay at Eremo della Giubiliana near Ragusa, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish.
We stayed in one of the cottages, which don’t receive nearly enough attention or photos in most reviews. They were spacious, beautifully appointed, and provided the ideal private retreat for our family with a toddler. Breakfast is highly underrated—guests constantly rave about it. We enjoyed dinner at the on-site restaurant 3–4 times. The food was very good, and takeaway options made it easy for relaxed evenings on our cottage patio.
The complimentary bikes were a highlight. Riding around the historic airstrip was magical. Few reviews mention it was used during Operation Husky in WWII. Sicily’s rich history means many sites like this have only a small sign. If this were in Canada, it would be a landmark. Staying here truly felt like a blessing—peaceful, authentic, and full of soul.
The hotel staff were elite. Special mentions to waiter Mirko (I believe that’s his name) and our outstanding male housekeeper.
Although not positioned as a traditional long-stay hotel, Ragusa was an excellent central base for exploring eastern Sicily. We never drove more than a couple of hours to places like Taormina.
We couldn’t recommend Eremo della Giubiliana enough. A character-filled, serene retreat with top-tier service and genuine sense of place."
"I loved this place! It was so beautiful! The garden and the view of modern Ragusa! The staff was really friendly and went above and beyond for me! Even a neighbor went above and beyond for me! lol. I liked how it looked inside too. And the room wasn’t fragrant of air freshener. I have MCS (multiple chemical sensitivities). They answered all of my questions too. I had a lot! Helped me figure out transportation. This was my favorite hotel actually on my trip! Along with another one in another city. It was quiet too"
"Excellent accueil du personnel, site enchanteur, lieu historique. Le calme de la campagne. Près de Noto, Siracusa, Marzamemi. Petit déjeuner excellent. On parle Français.L’on recommande sans hésiter."
"Wonderful stay in the heart of Ragusa Ibla. The location was excellent—within easy walking distance of the main sights, restaurants, and beautiful piazzas that make the town so special. The hotel was charming, impeccably clean, and blended perfectly with the historic character of the area. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the room was comfortable and well appointed. We only stayed one night, but it was the perfect base for exploring Ragusa Ibla. We would happily stay here again on a future visit."
