"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. It was only after I had gone through the booking process for what was a seriously expensive booking, a new address was provided for the property approx 1.6 miles away in Woodnesborough! I have restricted mobility and needed to be closer to the town so I asked if I could cancel....

"Amazing friendly staff all round. Service fantastic. Breakfast was great. Dinner was ok but not the best. (Had steak) The Bed wasn’t comfortable at all, terrible night sleep, needs a new mattress 103."

"It was basic but it has everything we needed for the trip. We went to see family and celebrate my in-law birthday at the Canterburry bell last September 19th. It was a great celebration abd we are considering going back with the kids for the Christmas holidays."

"I loved my stay at The Beetroot. Michael was really helpful, and lovely to meet; he also gave me an early check-in which was great. Sam who was doing work around the car park was also really nice and really helpful. The room itself was perfect - comfortable bed, great selection of teas and I loved the decor of the bathroom. The location was perfect, too - so close walking distance to everything: restaurants, cafes, the beach, and all the tourist attractions. I only wish I could have stayed longer but I didn't have time in my itinerary. I will have to come back, would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I would highly recommend it to anyone."

"Our room had a few issues when we arrived. It was cold, the water didn't drain away very well and the tv handset couldn't adjust the volume on the set, which was too high. Within 15 mins of reporting these issues, they had replaced the handset, cleared the sink and brought up a small radiator (and explained how the thermostat worked) The room was was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was good with plenty of options. Would definitely stay there again"
