"Would definitely recommend! Set in a stunning location, the view from the room was out of this world! Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was spotless and finished to a high standard and the bed was comfortable. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating, dinner was stunning and bar was very reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning was good too, wide choice of hot and cold breakfast items and an array of fruit juice, teas and coffees. If you are looking for somewhere to base yourself whilst you explore the area, I would highly recommend the Oyster Inn to all - especially those with (well behaved) dogs!"

"We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Oban. Glad we spent atleast 2 days here as Oban was one of our favorite spots in Scotland. Very walkable to everything we did and very close to Lorne which was my wife’s favorite restaurant in the trip (was accordion night) hit up a lot of other restaurants and the views and scenery there are the best. Staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was delicious. Our room had a great view of the water. "

"Everything was great. We were down as 2 adults but 1 was a child ...but on booking I was unable to book adult and child. My only complaint was that the television didn't work! As you can imagine with a 9-year-old we were back in hotel fairly early eve. Other than that a perfect place to stay."

"breakfast freshly cooked but no fresh fruit. Room cleaned daily a definite plus. staff excellent; friendly and efficient. Don't drink so no visit to bar. 1 negative a refurb is overdue but all areas are clean"

"The food was excellent particularly for a Seafood fanatic. The only thing the chef should consider is adding a seafood soup. Everything else is 5 star."

"Loved the older building with updated features that made for a very comfortable stay. Very clean, nice room overlooking the harbor with small convenient kitchenette. Excellent comfortable king bed with convenient electrical charging capability on both sides. Very convenient location for access to the downtown area including the ferry, bus and train stations, but far enough from bustle and noise- very quiet. A fine continental breakfast with a great coffee maker for cappuccinos and more. Really enjoyed spending time in the cozy onsite pub and blethering a bit with the very congenial and accommodating host, with a good selection of drafts and extensive assortment of fine whiskys (wee suggestion: I would have loved a real dartboard 😉). I really enjoyed our three nights there and eagerly look forward to the next time we can visit Oban and revisit the Kelvin for our next stay. Highly recommended!"

"Totally enjoy the hot tub with stunning views, so relaxing. The bar area is amazing relaxing for a drink and good bar food for a chilled evening. Staff are super welcome and attentive for the service. Fabulous breakfast with amazing sunrise view. Would definitely stay again."
