"We spent 4 nights at Ixchel in May 2024 and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, well decorated and run like a well-oiled machine, from the cleaning staff to front desk staff to the beach and on-site restaurant staff. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and so helpful. Our room was clean and had fresh towels every day, and it had the basics of what was needed: a mini fridge, a microwave, a tv, etc. Shower pressure was good, the mattress was nice and firm and our room overlooked the pool (we didn’t have a balcony, but that was fine). The location of the hotel is perfect, steps away from the beautiful Playa Norte beach and the start of one of the main strips, Av. Hidalgo, where restaurant and shops are located—so you have plenty of eating options outside of the hotel. And yes, they had plenty of lounge chairs, so no need for getting out early to reserve anything. All in all, I highly recommend Ixchel and look forward to staying there again."

"This was exactly what we were looking for. Tower room was clean, fresh paint and tile, water was super hot, water pressure was amazing, in room safe, ICE cold a/c. Steps from the beach. Liked the water coolers around the resort to refill bottles. If you are just looking for a room with bare amenities this is a place to consider. You can rent 2 chairs and umbrella on the beach for about $30usd and bring your own food and drinks. Very close to food, taco carts, convenience stores and restaurants. Possible negatives for some- We aren't pool people so the small isolated pool wasn't a issue for us. I am not there to watch TV either but the TV is 19" and only fuzzy local channels. We would definitely stay again!"

"We loved our stay at Villa Rolandi. Very attentive staff, two great restaurants, lovely amenities. They are about to undergo remodeling so there were construction noises during the day. That was the only downside, and it was slight. We would come back! "
