"The hotel was located in a sketchy area. The road to the hotel was filled with deep potholes and lots of water from the recent rain. I went to check in. The check in area was not very welcoming and smelled like a restaurant kitchen. I was given a room # and key. I confirmed the room number twice. I went to open the door of the room and someone was already in there. I did not open the door all the way, so I did not see the person. They were startled when I opened the door and yelled out "there is someone in here". I went back to the office and told them the room they gave me was occupied. They then gave me another room. We went to the room and the key would not work. The light stayed red when tapped. It did not turn green to open the door. I went back to the office again and told them the key did not work. The office worker came with me to open the door. This time the key worked. We got into the room and it was not very warm or inviting. We went to get our luggage out of the car and a man who was standing at the traffic light intersection begging for money walked by us counting his $$. There were other questionable individuals present. At this point we had an awful gut feeling and decided should not stay here. We did not feel safe. We decided to return the key and find another hotel in a better area. "

"Checking in was fine, did the normal things checked in under my name gave the desk person my Drivers license, got it back got the key cards and stayed in a room. Light switches were painted over, and the plug by the bed didn’t work unless the light was on. Used the sink and the whole faucet was loose. Worse of all after finally falling asleep, around 4:30AM someone is trying to enter my room. Desk worker said this room was supposed to be empty, I said obviously not I got key cards and I checked in yesterday. He asked for my name and I said don’t worry I’ll be out soon no longer feeling safe. After packing and heading to the desk no one was there I waited 5-10min knocking on the window. And as people started walking around I no longer felt secure and slid the key cards under the glass window ant the desk and left. Now the property Manager is saying I never checked in and nothing they can do about it inferring that I’m lying. I don’t care if it’s not a full refund, I’m complaining because someone messed up and they are trying to cover it up. I already sent the complaint to motel 6 who sent me to the property and they had me go through Hotel.com. And it’s still not solved. This is ridiculous! "

"The hot tub had a dirt ring in it. There was no towels by the pool. We had to run back and take the ones from our room. The key reader didn’t work to let you have access. You had to get the front desk to open the pool door every time you needed access. "

"The young man and young woman that I interacted with over a 4 day stay weren’t taking ownership of issues and didn’t seem to care much about customer service. For $180/night I expect more. General cleanliness and care of the property was poor. Dust, debris, landscape,tipped and full outside trash cans and tipped over for several days. Ours and another customer showers were not working. Ours would literally stop flowing water and gurgle for a couple minutes. Then eventually start working very slowly again. My wife had to kneel and put her head below the lower spout once a little water flow started but it wasn’t enough to get up to the upper head. The next day for me, the same thing happened. I do plumbing, it was like the water got shut off. Sink and toilet still worked. Front desk offered a different room to shower in (or move to) but then didn’t follow through with the agreement we can come to. Another guy said his shower was very low flow and Luke Warm at best for temp. Elevator door would shut 4” then open again. The gym exercise bike didn’t work. When myself and the other customer were telling the younger guy about the shower situation he said that it wasn’t his problem as he was supposed to be off 20 min ago! What?? He didn’t care. I’d recommend the holiday inn express across the street even though it’s a little more expensive. "

"Room was fine, but a little run down. Water stain on the lower part of our drapes and a few broken or damaged pieces of furniture in the room. The biggest let down however was the closed pool due to rebalancing of chemicals with no notice. We only live a couple hours away so the pool was part of our reason for booking overnight with our two younger boys. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a great time at the children’s museum. We were just bummed out on the timing of pool maintenance."

"This is my first ever review, one that I feel absolutely compelled to write as a service to my fellow man. This property not only should be avoided at any cost, but probably should be condemned and demolished. The overall level of dilapidation everywhere on the property is staggering. Roaches scurrying across the vanity. Towels and bed linens with rips, tears and holes. Stains all over the tub/shower. Pulled up carpet. I could go on and on. Stay here and you likely won’t feel safe and you’ll definitely feel gross and icky the entire time. Even if you’re traveling on a budget and looking for a low-cost option, do yourself a favor and pay $5-$10 more per night to stay somewhere, anywhere else!"
