Hotels near Independence Park

"The area its in looks like a 3rd world country!! Disgusting to say the least. Then you get charged $30 per night to park AT the hotel. Theres no street parking and you dont dare park off the property anyway! Hotep is under construction so the restaurant is closed. Website says theres a convenience store on site. That is also closed. Theres no vending machines at all anywhere! So no drinks, snacks or meals. Yet they charge a $75 fee for potential incidentials! What would that be? Everything is closed! Theres no actual front desk just a girl at a small table when you walk in. We were not informed of breakfast until day 2. I will say the rooms are nice, bathroom was very nice. The beds are actually very comfy. The noise from the street was very loud all night and we were on the 7th floor!! The parking people charged me for the 2 nights when we arrived and someone they charged me for a 3rd night 10 hours AFTER we left! We did try to breakfast on the 2nd morning. Cold bacon and hard sausage patties. Waffle station was very dirty so we didnt try it. No other options besides scrambled eggs. Every table there was very wobbly too! Overall not a great place, would not return. I paid almost $400 for 2 nights. No food, construction, noise, parking over charge. I feel we deserve some compensation. "

"Room was clean and hotel is right next to the train. Easy to get to Manhattan. We felt safe sitting outside at night with an amazing view! We drove in, there is a secured parking garage next door. Make sure to have the hotel validate your ticket."

"There’s 2 elevators and 1 was broken so that caused a lot of waiting for the elevator which also didn’t feel safe. Ice machine out of order. Toilet paper roll falling off in bathroom and tv popped when volume was on. "

"My 5-year-old old grandson thought this hotel was awesome. He loved the view of the planes and the lights from our windows. We even made a video that he narrated for his little brother. He said, "this place is beautiful and I am staying over." We were headed to a resort in Florida, but this stay in an airport hotel may have been the highlight of his vacation! 😂"

"The Hampton Inn was a great place to stay while on vacation! The breakfast station was a plus along with the close location to the Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall. A few minutes away from the airport which was ideal for me. The driver (Sorry I didn’t get his name)…that took us to the airport was pleasant and the staff are always friendly. I always choose to stay Hampton Inn over the neighborhood hotels as it’s top notch always!"
