"A wonderful old country house for an overnight stay. The staff were exceptional, from check-in, through evening meal, to check-out. Welcoming, friendly and professional. We had an excellent meal in The Grill. The view from our room was spectacular."

Clear haven’t clean it properly I had to spent an hour to clean which something you do not expect in your holiday. Location was perfect. Easy parking , Just 7 min drive from Windermere. There is local shop around so easy to get stuff."

Despite earlier negative reviews, the bathroom and showers and hot water were fine. Host did not respond to emails seeking reassurance that issues raised in other reviews had been addressed."
