Excellent hospitality

Hospitality of the staff and a gentleman (whom I guess is the manager) at this hotel is amazing. The warmth and sincerity is just so different from luxury hotels in large cities. The hotel modern, relatively new and just 5 mins walk from Hualien train station (visible from the station exit) and close to many car rental agencies. Undoubtedly my top choice if I return to Hualien in future.

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is not so nice, The sidewalk is full of mopeds, but I guess it is common in Taiwan. However, it was so crowded with mopeds that it was hard to get to the hotel entrance especially if you need to haul your luggage.

My stay at Champs de Roses was excellent. The room and facility was clean and it was nice to walk to the hotel after arriving by train. You can see the hotel across from the Hualien train station. However, what really made this stay nice was the exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful staff and service. From the concierge to the breakfast staff. The breakfast was also a favorite experience of mine. When talking to the staff, we learned the dumplings came from a local Hualien dumpling place that has high ratings online. I liked being able to eat Hualien specialties without having to leave the hotel and walk distances to get them. We tried the dumplings and wontons and it was delicious. Another bonus if this hotel was the washer and dryer, which helped me clean me clothes during my trip. Overall, the hotel had a convenient location, great walkability, clean facilities, delicious breakfast, and an exceptionally kind staff!
