"This property was a very pleasant surprise!! We stayed there during the State Fair and will absolutely rebook for our next trip to the area!! There is NO breakfast included but they do have a nice coffee bar in the lobby where you can purchase coffee! The facility is CLEAN and I felt safe there! There is also a restaurant which is attached to the property that we did eat at one evening- so we didn’t have to go driving around!!"

"This beautiful historic hotel is in downtown St. Paul with a beautiful view of the Capitol, close to the metro trams, museums and lots of historic sites. The decor of the hotel and bar are reminiscent of the days of old. The breakfast area was comfortable with a nice daily selection. The bar is classic with a friendly staff. As stated, there is no parking on site. We spent $20-30 per night at a local garage. The television guide displayed a variety of channels, but about 15 of the stations were unavailable. We also had issues with our AC, which were quickly resolved. The fire station and trams can be noisy. It’s noisy during the day, but all quiets down in the evening."

"Well worth the money. Happy hour buffet each night and the breakfast buffet with real food made fresh. Clean rooms, fast elevators and easy access to the property. Only problem was the pool was closed for one day due to unforeseen emergency repairs. We will stay here again."

"The staff was courteous and helpful, responding to my questions. Looks like the room furnishings are well used, but nothing appeared broken. Only suggestion to improve bathroom safety is to install a non slip surface in the bathtubs, and grab bars for the shower."

"Friendly staff. The onsite restaurant/bar was good. Breakfast was very good, large buffet and lots of options. You do have to pay, but it a good price for what you get. Restaurant serves until 10 pm, bar open until 11pm."
