"Decent budget hotel. £8 parking lasted 24 hours. Good strong shower"

"Really horrible stay, damp on all the walls, mold in the bathroom, paint chipping off, uncomfy beds, dirty surfaces and not clean. Though it had breakfast with it we only ordered toast as we could see the cutlery was dirty. I took pictures and will upload if i can. Staff said it was recently taken over, however can see other reviews saying they have said that for months. I do not feel it is an excuse for the level of damp and mold in that room. It made all 4 of us really poorly the day after and I thought I was going to have an asthma attack while there. My son has horrid eczema and it flared up really badly too. I would not recommend this hotel. If we didn’t need to stay we would have left after an hour in the room and we left promptly in the morning. Not worth the £120 paid."

"Nice old hotel, I like staying at these grand old hotels when possible! Very welcoming and friendly staff, car park was small but they found me the last spot when I arrived in the evening later than planned. I was hoping to use the electric car chargers but these were occupied by contract guests so arrive early or perhaps arrange with them beforehand if your electric car is nearly out of juice! Very handy feature to have, even better if I'd been able to use it!"
