"Room was a good size with a clean bathroom and comfortable beds. Check in was smooth and the staff on the front desk were very polite and helpful. Food in the hotel was decent too. A little bit slow service in the restraunt but this was noticed by the chef and provided free ice creams for the kids which went a long way."

"Had an overnight stay on a short visit to Buxton. The hotel is ideally located and had parking at a reasonable cost. Close to town centre etc. As it was only a quick stop we went for one of the cheaper rooms. It was a good sized double with large bathroom and tea/ facilities and biscuits, obviously didn’t have much of a view as it was a lower priced room. Breakfast was included in the cost and was very good plenty to choose from and freshly cooked. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Would certainly use the hotel again."

"Room very dated needs updating. No air-con Unable to open wardrobe door because bed in the way . Side of bed was all stained and the duvet and pillow case both stained. The small triangle window had no curtain only a blind that pulled up but didn’t cover the window bright daylight in room at 5am breakfast was ok staff were helpful and polite"

"We enjoyed our stay here even though the room was very quirky with a very sloping floor. It was a good size though and well equipped. The four post bed looked good but wasn't that comfortable and quite small especially as my husband is 6ft 4. Best to stick to a different room. Staff were all friendly and helpful and parking outside was just £6 a day. The hotel is well situated within easy reach of bars, restaurants and shops etc"
