"The breakfast was very nice, however the vegetarian option was limited. There could have been mushrooms and vege sausages. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The spa facilities were fantastic and the staff were very polite and professional, would highly recommend them and would definitely be back to this hotel on my next visit to Manchester "

"Really liked this hotel.Great location, cheap parking nearby, lovely staff and the communal areas smell amazing! The bed was very soft, which I like. I knocked off a star as the room although clean, needs a refresh. Shower tray has seen better days. "

"The service from the minute I arrived was most welcoming and to a high standard. I was a solo guest and the brilliant reception staff provided me with all the key information I needed to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable and this really put my mind at rest. Cameron at Barney’s really looked after me and enabled me to order food and take it back to my room so not have to endure dining on my own. Indi and Jack also looked after me and gave me excellent service and went above and beyond to help me when I was informed at short notice on the day that Barney’s was closed for a private function. I genuinely had the best stay and would recommend to everyone. Thank you for giving me the best break. "

"I booked a compact room usually these are very small but comfy. This was downstairs with only 1 other room close by. Spacious quiet and comfortable. Also cool which was nice as its unusually warm in Buxton. The piano playing in the lobby is a lovely touch "

"Nice hotel, lovely check in and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Bed extremely comfortable. Excellent position near to tram stops and lots of food places. Restaurant and Starbucks in the hotel. We went to an event at the Coop live and it was perfect, as we left there were queues a mile long to go back into the centre of Manchester but nothing coming out to the village hotel, glad we chose this one. "
