Hotels near Hongkou Football Stadium

"I cannot recommend this hotel. It seems that the hotel sought to block my original review, which was just the first sentence. So, I’ll give a full review: this hotel was horrible, the staff at the front desk and concierge were rude and unwelcoming. The room was not very clean. The entrance to the hotel was built in such a way that didi drivers could not easily access it and consequently my spouse and I were forced to cross the street to enter or exit our car hire. The room was also cramped and the furniture was tired. Generally speaking this hotel and the staff were a major low point of my trip and represented a distinct abnormality when compared with every other hotel I stayed at. It does not surprise me that my original review was protested by this hotel despite it being just the single first sentence you see here - the individuals who manage this hotel do not seem to be willing to accept honest feedback. "

"HI We stayed 4 nights. Hotel area is under heavy construction for a while. It's quite at night. Also if you are using Didi or taxi the car has to use side entrance which can be pain for the driver to find. The Hotel is 8 min short walk to Yu Yuan Garden and just across line 10 metro too. "Expected 5 Star Hyatt with upgraded pearl Tower view room to have a Microwave and a coffee maker but there was none - very surpised such basic ammenities are in every 3 star motel in canada. The safety box was at the the lowest possible cabinet in washroom, you would have to sit on the floor of washroom to access that. View was excellent as expected and staff was fine, but a hotel of this stature should have basic ammenities. I don't think will be staying here again. "

"Hotel was decent, nothing special. Breakfast was ok - not fresh for sure. I was there for 1 week and it was the same everyday, I could tell it wasn't fresh. Only fresh thing was the guy making egg omelette. Surprisingly hardly anybody at the hotel spoke English. Very difficult to communicate, I didn't expect it as you would expect a high end hotel to. I personally wouldn't pay all that money to come here again, would rather pay less/half and go elsewhere. It was my 1st time in China/Shanghai. If I had of known it would be been like that then I would have rather stayed elsewhere and saved some money. As I've mentioned it wasn't anything special."
