"The hotel is nice location, however the room and most areas are looking quite quite tired, very squeaky floor in the room (100). I was worried moving around too much that it would disturb other guests."

Friendly and attentive staff (each and every person we met across all areas had a very high standard of service) - super welcoming to dogs - tasty, quality food and drink (including a great quality, extensive breakfast offer) - bar with a nice vibe - beautiful grounds - excellent facilities. Room was clean and had good amenities. Excellent parking (with charging points). We will return!"

"We had no idea how many social problems there were in Thetford. All of this marked our stay from being attacked by vicious loose dogs to loud drunks in the high street. Our room needed new windows but was otherwise adequate. If they are all like then a serious programme of investment is needed. Bar food was mostly nice and easy. Frequently though it was unstaffed as the kitchen is miles away. Why not give service to a KP and use walkie-talkies? Dog treats appreciated. We wanted to go to the church but found it was long closed down and to cap it off we found a dead swan which i reported. Sadly we will never return to Thetford."

"The welcome we received at check in was probably the best welcome ever at a hotel. Our room was squeaky clean and we had a gorgeous relaxing view over the golf course. We ate in the onsite restaurant one evening, sensibly priced and great food, again the staff were exceptional. We loved the use of the pool and its other facilities. All in all it was a fabulous stay, we hope to visit again."
