"We had a fantastic stay here.
Check in was simple. We arrived a little early due to flight times but were able to store our bags and start using the facilities straight away. Then, when our room was ready, we had a lovely spacious and clean room overlooking the pools.
Ery and Blue on the entertainment team were outstanding, full of of fun and enthusiasm throughout our stay for all of the daytime and evening activities. They were joined by Hector and Romen, two trainees, who quickly established themselves in the entertainment team and the four of them really made our holiday. Unfortunately, the day that Ery and Blue were both off, the cover staff (Laura) was a little lacklustre.
The food was very good and definitely one of the better all-inclusive buffets I have experienced. There was good variety and always being topped up in both the main restaurant and the snack bar.
The check out experience was a little disappointing. The reception staff were more interested in checking in new guests early than letting us check out. If our transfer to the airport had been any earlier, we may have had a problem.
All in all, a very lovely stay and we will return"
"Lovely hotel with incredible views over the sea, very nice pool, good location with restaurants etc nearby and a 15 mins walk to the main part of Puerto de la Cruz (a bit steep on the way back). Plenty of parking within 5-10 mins walk. Breakfast is good, only negative is that the lifts are quite slow. "
"Excellent location, excellent staff. The breakfast was great and it's a really beautiful place. The rooms couldn't probably do with a slight facelift but it's part of the charm and they're clean, which matters more. I had to switch rooms a few nights in because there was a major leak in the bathroom, these things happen. More importantly, the staff were so helpful and ensured my replacement room had an equally good view. The balcony rooms are 100% worth it. I had such a good time staying here and I've stayed at 5 different hotels in the area. It has a traditional feel, it's family run and there's so much history."
"Based in a fabulous converted old house with an inner courtyard based in the centre of La Laguna within four minutes walk of the cathedral.
We had originally booked Manila suite but, on reading reviews about noise (although apparently it has now been double glazed) and speaking with the property, we decided to upgrade to the Amaro Pargo suite, which was lovely and spacious and at the back of the property, with a large balcony overlooking the inner courtyard and beautiful glazed balcony overlooking the garden. Huge comfortable
bed and separate dressing /wardrobe area as well as a separate room with a sofa bed. Very good price and lots of space.
As the property is in the centre, it is difficult to find parking on the streets but we used the car park recommended by the property where we were charged only €7.50 for overnight parking.
I personally would avoid the rooms at the front of the property (particularly room 1, which is right next door to the front door) as it is on a busy road and indeed roadworks were going on when we were there. Internet was a bit patchy.
Lots of great restaurants in walking distance and a Spar next door to the cathedral for necessities.
Would definitely come back here if we returned to La Laguna, which is great for accessing the Anaga National Park."
"The property is in the ideal location with everything you could possibly want in a hotel. Gym, pool, hydrotherapy, spa, bar, restaurant. Absolutely wonderful stay. I will stay here when I come back. "
"Notre chambre etait collé sur un ilot qui montait jusqu au toit . Alors la musique du roof-est a résonné jusqu a 1h am . Ce fut vraiment impossible de dormir . Soirée dédommagement de la part de l hotel."
"No assistance w luggage until heavily prompted upon checking in. Then none at all upon checkout. Taxi called was too small even though a large one to contain wheelchair was requested from the front desk."
