"The location is walking distance from the river front, Pearl District and downtown. The decor is really cool, and reminiscent of the Jetson's and Pee Wee's Playhouse. The room was big and had a full kitchen."

"I enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Express for the breakfast amenity as it helps save on spending too much. This was my mom and I’s first time visiting Portland, OR. The area is nice and quiet 10min away from downtown. Parking is great, they have self parking which is free on top but once it gets filled you’ll have to park in the garage which is $20 a night. Overall great experience, will definitely be booking again! "

"Free parking and free breakfast is always appreciated. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and very kind. The decor in the room was cute and mid-century modern and everything was super clean. The only complaint is the fan would not go off in the bathroom and so it ran pretty much the entire time.. otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious with a stove and a refrigerator and the dishwasher and the bed was extremely comfortable. The area is very walkable to all types of shops and dining truly a magnificent location."
"This is a great hotel! 100 years old building but super well-maintained. Very friend staff, very clean facility, the only drawback is parking. Hotel near several homeless shelters. With drug-users users around, parking on the streets near the hotel is not ideal. "
"The room was great and the staff exceptional!
We also enjoyed a breakfast and a dinner at the restaurant in the hotel.
The stairwell journey through a history of pictures was informative.
For those interested in the Paranormal activity side of our visit: light brightness adjusted on its own with one of our bedside lights inside the suite on the 4th floor. And one of our faces was distorted in a picture taken in front of the staircase in the lobby."
