"I was looking for inexpensive lodging in the Huertgen Forest Battle area and this was it.Great location near big lake/dam,nice views from my balcony .Room quite dark and basic but clean -strong chemical smell from shower /toilet room. "Leider nicht zu empfehlen Die Außenanlage wirkt ungepflegt & vermittelt einen wenig einladenden Eindruck. Auch im Inneren zeigt sich ein veralteter Zustand – zwar grundsätzlich funktional, aber längst nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Was uns jedoch auf dem Weg ins Zimmer und im Zimmer selbst erwartete, kann man nur als Renovierungs-Fail bezeichnen: Flur: Unsachgemäß verlegte Fliesen und hochstehende Teppichkanten stellen eine deutliche Stolpergefahr dar. Zimmer: Der Zustand war schlichtweg...

"I arrived on a Monday but was disappointed to learn the restaurant was shut. Had to drive back into Düren for food. Germany doesn't seem to like Mondays! Hotel is good, if not slightly tired, but very clean and I slept well. My Monday evening disappointment was short lived following a very welcoming and wonderful breakfast. Very nice staff."

"Our family of 2 adults and 2 children had the whole top floor which was clean and comfortable. We loved how the property had a lot of character and lovely old features so we expected that we would have to walk up the 3 flights of stairs. Parkplatz Aukloster was a short walk away and when we figured out how to pay for parking (we don’t speak German) with help from Johannes, it all worked out well. Johannes responded promptly to our questions and was very kind and accommodating. Thank you!"

"We stayed at this hotel for the 3rd time, everytime another room and experience. Pity that 5 persons apartment was not in main building and without bath and tea facilities. Beds were excellent, far better than regular hotels. River view is also very nice. Half board is a good add on but slightly expensive. "
