Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel well placed for access to the town. I managed to make use of the pool and had it to myself. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good choice of food but like many German hotels, no options for those with dietary requirements. We made the mistake of eating our evening meal here and it's fair to say it was basic. A set menu with no option for dietary needs.

Excellent welcome and outstanding service from Ayaub at Reception, who went beyond the call of duty after his shift had ended, by walking with me to find my car which I had previously abandoned after misdirection by satnav on arrival in Monschau. Good value accommodation in a well-appointed hotel.

This hotel is a large standard hotel in a fabulous position to explore Monschau and the surrounding area. Car park is a huge bonus. Our room was on the 5th floor. A reasonable size, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would return if in the area.

The service is great and the people are helpfull at the hotel. The rooms are basic, but ok. Nice that they have a swinming pool. The only thing is that the breakfast is way to expensive comparing to the quality and quantity. Paying 21,00 euro's each person for a very basic breakfast is to expensive . You can eat better breakfast in the town Monschau. The staff is great in service and very friendly.

We did not book breakfast or dinner. While checking in, we were informed that breakfast or diner was not available! We had dinner at a closeby (150 mtr) restaurant. Real home cooking style and very good. Breakfast was taken at a backery. The hotel rooms were convenient and clean. The hotel bar was open until midnight. It was a more like a pop-up bar… tables & chairs… nothing else. Besides drinks there is nothing else, no snacks, no peanuts or chips. However the beers and wines are good and reasonable priced. Would stay there again anyway but will book breakfast upfront.

A very no frills room in need of a good cleaning and some updating. The elevator wasnt working, which seems to be a common occurance according to reviews. We stayed on the 5th floor, which was a bit of a trek with luggage. The location was convenient if taking transit, just a couple mins from the stop, and a short walk to the town centre. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good.

Motorbike trip

Really nice stay, however weather was rubbish which was a shame as a beautiful place to visit. Hotel suited us fine and actually had 2 seperate stays here in 1 week whilst travelling around on a .motorcycle

The location is great, as its only 10 min away from the city center. However our room had a not very nice smell, and the shower made a terrible and annoying noise while being used. The guys from the reception were very friendly though, they gave us a couple of colas to compensate.

Little old and tired, needs a refurb, good staff

I have stayed here many times in the past, but it hasnt updated for about 14 years, so old furniture, bathrooms etc. The staff try hard, buts the hotel needs updating. Bar is open limited hours (opens at 8pm), after restaurant closes, and thr restaurant is buffet only, with a very limited choice.
