"Location is amazing, close to everything but tucked away enough to be a quiet relaxing stay. Yes the hill is a steep climb, but they offer a lift on the cart or you get a great glute workout. Breakfast was consistently great, best pancakes and gallo pinto. Dinner is also great. Staff are always super nice and helpful. We had more close encounters with wildlife on property than any park we toured. Sloths live on property and monkeys visit every morning. The view is AMAZING. We will be staying again "

"Really enjoyed our family stay at this beautiful resort amongst Manuel Antonio's famous wildlife. We spotted monkeys, iguanas, sloths and many colourful birds right from the grounds, which the kids absolutely loved. Lots to keep a family of five happy. The multiple pools were large and clean, breakfast was amazing, and the free shuttle to Manuel Antonio town and the beach made getting around really easy. Staff were lovely throughout, rooms were comfortable and cool (a must in the April weather!), and it was always nice to come back to the resort after a busy (and hot) day out exploring. Highly recommend a stay at this unforgettable spot!"

"My stay at Makanda in Costa Rica was nothing short of exceptional. Alexander, who took care of us in the pool area, made an already incredible experience unforgettable. However, Makanda exceeded those expectations in every way, and it absolutely deserves recognition. This is a destination I would return to without hesitation."
