What a lovely hotel, easy to find, great parking and all the staff we spoke to where extremely helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel but the menu look good and prices seemed very reasonable. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay again

Amazing Art Deco style place

Amazing art deco building which looks to have been recently renovated we were fortunate to be in a room located in the original building thats was clean comfortable and great facilties, staff were all very pleasant and accommodating good location for a short trip into St Albans if i had to find a fault it would only have been the location of the staff room next to our room which had the door banging continuously in the early hours, but its an old building so perhaps sound proofing not great in the 20's so didn't mention this at the time of the stay

Reception staff funny and friendly. The room was nicely presented with a queen size bed, large tv and large wet room. Comfy bed, tea, coffee, water etc. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend and use again.

Not the best stay, had someone walk into our room at 8am so woke us up not sure why someone would when they don’t even offer cleaning for one day stays so ruined our morning in, also our bed was two single beds push together which were not the same level so bad a massive ditch in the middle of the bed which made for a very uncomfortable sleep.

reat stay

Superb service at check in. Every member of staff we dealt with in reception, bar and the restaurant was excellent. Nice rooms, clearly recently refurbished, with complimentary water, tea and coffee. Excellent breakfast as well. The only slight downside is, depending on what room you are in, you have to go outside from reception to get to your room. Didn't matter to us, but if it was pouring, windy and you wanted to go to the bar or get breakfast that wouldn't be ideal.

All good but they need to invest in another toaster. 1 4 slice for all at breakfast was causing a queue and it was the slowest one I’ve ever come across!!

It's fine and serves its purpose. No minifridge in the room, water pressure not great in the shower, feels a little bit done on the cheap in terms of build / decor. But it was a good, quiet room, no problems with checking in and out, convenient for Hertfordshire Sports Village. Not bad.
