"Room very clean Lovely room with great bathroom within the room. Staff are fantastic. Tuesdays quiz night, so difficult to get a table for dinner, unless you book early. All food cooked fresh, even breakfast. The latter go early as because it’s cooked fresh, you could be waiting a while. It would be useful for the hotel to mention they have parking at the rear. I would have given this a 5 had it not been for the pigeon poo outdoors, that you cannot avoid and you walk it into the building. Slippers in the room would be useful for this reason. Shower did take nearly 5 minutes to run warm, not even hot. Would I stay again…yes if the path was cleaned on a daily basis"

"AVOID, the reason is that I stayed here for a few weeks a year ago and unfortunately changed rooms 6 times due to air conditioning (one worked one didn't, one didn't switch off at all) issues, parties through the night, traffic, then finally bathroom fan that just stayed on 24/7 very noisy. Finally got a good room but opposite the lift. Tried again recently but unfortunately the room had a window screwed permenantly open so went to 6 degrees at night in a cold snap, the heating had been intentionally disabled as I have a photo of the mains switch on. Main light not working room very dark. When I mentioned it to management they said switch was on which my current room in same position but Was working so in effect saying I lied. Sadly no reply after a full week after providing this evidence and chasing and them refusing to refund this one night. I never asked for previous refund first one as I got really ill due to the cold in the night. Even though there were very loud banging, and building works type noises throughout the week. Very disappointed, even the cleaning mid week she only changed the bed no towel no refills, no clean nothing. Photos attached. Emailed both front desk, spoke to them and the manager no refund, help or compensation. Avoid."

"Front desk staff were lovely. The hotel itself is very nice, room was a bit run down - missing faucet handle bit, needing a little tlc overall. Sheets seemed clean but I found hair that wasn’t mine around the room. My biggest complaint though isn’t with the hotel itself but instead the restaurant within the hotel. No matter when I called or how many times, they never answered. Not once during my entire stay. Reception tried to connect me - no luck. When I went to the restaurant they told me they couldn’t do lattes or coffee to go although earlier people were taking hot drinks to go. They were out of gluten free toast although it’s on their menu as something available daily. Room service was a big let down. Other people seemed to have the same issue."

"Really nice hotel with a very good room and great location and very quiet. The room was a downstairs one with a small kitchenette, this had a fridge - microwave and air fryer along with kettle tea and coffee, crockery and a sink. The bathroom was good and the room had at least 10 power sockets and also excellent WiFi. Not perfect though. The TV was a little awkward as you had to access the channels via apps wardrobes where free standing and did not feel secure. In the bathroom the only issue was the entrance to shower is a little narrow. The hotel does not do any food but is attached to an Indian restaurant which serves dinner. The food here was very good. My only other gripe is checking thee is no real reception and I had to hunt around for 5 mins to find how to check in. I walked into the village, about 10 min walk. There is a nice pub which does traditional English food which looked good. All in all a solid 8/10"
