"Hotel Tauraa ticks all of the boxes that make the stay on Easter Island something special. It is set in tropical gardens with Wolfgang, an amiable host who cooks up a superb breakfast every day. The rooms are spacious, clean and all amenities work well. It's not a modern hotel but it takes you back to a time when things were simple and good. It's only 30 metres from the main road so you have restaurants around the corner. A real joy to investigate the island."

"Going to Rapa Nui my expectations were low in terms of what to expect but the bed was comfortable, hotel room was spotless, and I had hot water, a portable AC unit, fan, and power. Breakfast was free, and I was happy with it. Hanga Roa is very small and it was super easy to walk everywhere from the hotel even in flip flops. What was incredible was the hotel staff. Genuinely some of the nicest hotel staff I’ve ever met and were patient with my broken Spanish. It was super easy to check in, and they gave me my room early and let me check out late with no problem. "

" The rooms are very nice, breakfast is excellent, and most of the staff are very friendly. Service at the front desk varied depending on who was working. The hotel is in a more remote location and walking to town isn’t ideal because of the busy road. Transportation into town can be a bit tricky, as taxis aren’t always easy to find."
