"We were attending a wedding in Chittenden and had driven in from Pittsburgh. We had three rooms and the hotel staff was so accommodating and arranged for an early check-in so that we were able to get to the wedding on time. It was very much appreciated."
"Everything was spectacular. The view of the lake from the deck was breathtaking. We had a one night stay here and we couldn’t enjoy the activities due to the weather on that day but we were allowed to enjoy the kayaking swimming in the lake the nest day despite our stay was expired which was the best part for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was an amazing experience stay at juliana resort. We would definitely come back to this place and would recommend others if you are looking for a perfect stay and enjoy the lake George.."
"Here’s the revised review with your microwave experience included for The Queensbury Hotel:
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay at the Queensbury Hotel. While the hotel itself has charm and the room was generally okay, the overall experience did not meet our expectations.
Customer service was one of the biggest issues. The front desk staff could definitely be more pleasant and welcoming. In the restaurant, the girls working there barely greeted guests and did not seem friendly or professional. In the hospitality industry, simple things like a smile and courteous attitude make a big difference.
The bathroom in our room was extremely small, and the shower stall was unbelievably tiny and uncomfortable to use. The room was booked for four people, yet only two paper cups were provided. When we asked for additional cups, the front desk did not have any available, which was surprising for a hotel of this size.
Another disappointing experience was when we asked if there was a microwave available to heat up food. We were told the hotel does not provide one unless we pay an additional $10 to rent a microwave for the room. At first, I thought they meant paying to use it one time, but they clarified that we would need to rent it. Honestly, for the price we paid for three nights, basic conveniences like allowing guests access to a microwave as a courtesy should really be included.
One positive aspect of the hotel was the pool area."
"I’m going to start out saying the room was very clean. It looked as though the staff had ran out to Walmart and bought new sheets, pillows and a blanket along with new towels. The bathroom was clean, no amenities, and the carpet had been freshly vacuumed. This is the first hotel I have ever looked for bedbugs. The lobby appeared to be an easy fifty years old with no updates and the hallways although very wide were dirty. They had not been vacuumed in a very long time. As I left the hotel in early evening a younger couple approached me and said someone had approached them and told them not to go to the far end of the lot because there were gang members in the corner. There were people in several rooms but no cars in the parking lot only mine and the young couples. I was very uncomfortable with the location of my room, it was at the very far end of a hallway and I believe I was the only reservation in that location. The elevator did work but for some reason when I asked to see the room the desk clerk had us walk down several hallways then up the stairs when the elevator would have been around the corner. Needless to say instead of staying for the original five nights I had booked I only stayed one night then moved on to a hotel that better represented itself. I believe I booked the Cortina through Hotels.com and am quite surprised they would recommend a hotel with such poor standards. The Cortina should be removed from the listings. My card has been credited."
