"This property is in terrible disrepair, outside areas are rusty, dirty, covered in moss and mold. We took pictures to show the filth. The room appeared reasonably clean and we had just flown in so we stayed, but would never stay again and we don’t recommend to anyone."

"The Ocean view room, had a ocean view. The staff was courteous but for the price paid, I felt the room was quite dated. No microwave in the room, if you want to heat up some food ( The town was almost dead at 7pm, with few dining options). No phone USB chargers as well. I would be okay if this was costing half of what I paid. "
"The staff was concerned with us getting there before 8pm. We hurried to get there and did not stop for dinner. We arrived to check in at 5pm and the staff seemed eager to show us our rental and get out of there (we were the last and maybe only ones to check in that day).
There was a living room but there were beds in it. The shower was challenging to figure out how to use. It had two handles (neither were marked) which seemed to produce cold water no matter how I turned the handles! On the second day, the bananas that we had bought at the grocery store the day before had ants all over them and the kitchen table. Overall experience was not great especially for the price."

"Beautiful resort, great room and service but be prepared to walk a lot. The tram system doesn’t work that well by the end of our stay we didn’t even bother checking the schedule we just walked and beat the team most of the time. Also the cost to park is outrageous. You get charged $50/day. Highest rate I’ve experienced. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. The Concierge was fantastic. We enjoyed all the activities she planned for us; top notch adventures. The pool was nice but renting a double-lounger was $175/day, ridiculous. Most were empty until midday when the price reduced to $100 (after 1 PM). If they lowered the cost they’d get more rented. "
"What an amazing stay! I cannot express how awesome this place is. Multiple pools with waterslides were awesome, restaurant and bar directly by the main pools. Several hot tubs, BBQS, kids area, hotel functions daily, (live music, hula dancing, making leis, shave ice, yoga in the morning sunshine, free golf range and clubs...) I could go on and on!!!
This property was within a mile from several shops and restaurants, Dolphin Quest, and other Hilton properties we were allowed free access and parking to... Not to mention the all the beaches within walking distance and others within a 15 minute drive.
I cannot wait to visit with the family again, it was truly paradise!!!"
"This was the third time I’ve stayed at this little property. It’s wonderful! There’s a little private beach at the end of the street. The staff is really friendly and if there’s any problems, they fix it right away. Clean. Highly recommend it and I never wait for reviews. Lol."
"Everything was fantastic! The only odd thing is that there wasn’t a headboard on the bed. The staff was very kind! If you look at the window latch on the courtyard side of the room, it might say “made in occupied Japan” on the knob, which if you know your history, it should give you a solid idea on the age of the hotel. But the place is in great shape, seems freshly remodeled, and really is quite a treasure. The song of the night birds is mesmerizing! One word of caution for late arrivals though: everything in the village closes at 8PM or earlier. If you landed at Kona in the evening, and you want anything for the night, you better get it in Kona.
I will absolutely return to this amazing place!"
