"Amazing host. Can't give my compliments enough to Dat. He cared for each of us like we were a member of his family and I can say to any traveller you will always be in safe hands. He knows all the best spots to go and has access to some of the best restaurants on the island. On top of this the hotel was modern, clean and the restaurants food was incredible. I literally can't think of a single issue with Seoul 2."

"The hotel is not too far from the central areas of Hai Phong. It's a new hotel, and has 2 floors dedicated as a wedding hall. The staff were friendly and spoke a little English. The room was sparkling clean and white, everything is new. Nice big LG TV if you're into flipping around. Didn't use the kitchenette, but it came with all pots and pans if I needed it. Bathroom was clean and new, shower was hot and water pressure very high. My few gripes with the place: I'm 6 feet tall, and the bed...

"Everything! The staff was wonderful starting out with a room upgrade with the most fantastic ocean view, sounds of waves, and lush greenery. The breakfast buffet was also substantial with both Vietnamese and Western choices. You can walk to town although it is a hill or take an electric cart for a 3 minute short ride. If you like walking it is also connected to a paved walkway along the coast! The only surprise was our tour shuttle busses did not want to drop us off at the Hotel and rather drop us at the bottom of hill. Not sure why when we were suppose to be dropped off in front of the Hotel. Just a curve ball when you are older and have luggage. Not a deal breaker, but you should check with your transportation before hand to confirm. "

"First class in every aspect. Very friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast buffet was the best we have ever had and the service was incredible. In the heart of downtown Hai Phong is very walkable to exquisite local food and nightlife. The rooms were very clean and elegant. Very reasonably priced. A must stay if you are ever in Hai Phong"

"This beautiful little budget resort is nestled in a valley outside of town. No ocean views here, but in exchange you get serenity, a gorgeous garden, and an attentive staff. The food is simple and good, I really enjoyed the seafood fried rice. You can walk to the nearby hospital cave, which I found very interesting, but for other attractions they’ll book you a car or rent you a scooter. I had a few small problems: the room could use a luggage rack or another table/dresser to lay out clothes, we didn’t have a lightbulb in our bedside lamp (they quickly provided one when asked), but overall we had a fantastic experience. This place is best enjoyed if you have some time to slow down and relax. Spend some time by the pool or the garden, away from the bustle and construction noise of town. We enjoyed hanging out at Serena almost more than the other sights at Cat Ba. We’re already talking about coming back! Oh, and the bartender makes some excellent cocktails and smoothies!"
