"Charming hotel. Staff was very nice and conversational. It felt like the real Swiss German experience, not some tourist trap. It's a pretty old building with no air conditioning, but is very charming. Breakfast is pretty basic, but the staff made an effort, even providing American style filter coffee. "This hotel was a great find in the heart of Bern! The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Air conditioning was a huge plus! The bathroom is spacious and had a great shower! The hotel is within walking distance of old town, with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. You can easily explore the city on foot from this location, or by taking the tram. There is a tram in town that is super easy to take...make sure to ask the front desk for a free pass. There is no on site parking, but it is an easy walk to get your car."
