Top Gunthorpe Hotel Reviews

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed in the Windsor suite with the jacuzzi outside and had a lovely stay. The staff were very polite and informative. The hotel is very scenic and has a view of the lake. The suite was very spacious and was very well equipped. The restaurant on site offered a wide variety of food to a very good standard. We would have loved to have stayed longer and will definitely stay again."

The Grand Hotel Leicester by The Unlimited Collection

8/10 Good

"I’ve booked two standard for a trip in April 26. On arrival, we were given a family room and informed that that was the last room they had available. Entry into the room electrics in did not work it was cold with one bed settee prepared and a double bed. Upon complaint and insistence that our original booking was two standard. And given our health condition that’s the reason we chose the option after a healthy discussion and pointing out our health needs. An indicating that “Grand” should be dropped from “ The GrandHotel. As the price is charged did not show the services and the quality of the room. We were given the two standard bedroom that we booked for originally. It was explained that the Hotel was going through renovation and had limited option to offer. Considering our booking was done in April and our day was in October 26. There was no prior warning of any changes until we arrived at the hotel. Next day we had a nice breakfast thanked the manager and left. If we’re given the original booking initially We would’ve had a pleasant experience and a positive regard for the desk staff. Be mindful, it’s old Hotel going through renovation an updates to modernise."

Holiday Inn Leicester by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Staff were welcoming & helpful throughout our stay, especially at breakfast with the children. Rooms & public areas were clean & tidy. Not enough cups in our room for the number of people booked & couldn't get through to reception from the room by phone but issue resolved when we went down to speak to reception. Parking (even with discounts) & bar seemed rather expensive in comparisonto our London stay the following evening."
