"We had a wonderful stay at Torel in Guimarães. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and every interaction felt thoughtful and personal. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean, with great attention to detail throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. A particularly memorable touch was the handwritten welcome note waiting for us in the room — a small gesture that really made the stay feel special and personal. We also loved the hotel’s intimate little bar, which had a great atmosphere and was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. The breakfast was excellent as well, with high-quality ingredients and plenty of variety. The location is ideal for exploring Guimarães, with easy access to the historic center while still feeling like a quiet retreat. Overall, this was a standout stay and we would absolutely return. "I had a very pleasant stay here during my trip to Portugal. The space was very clean, comfortable, and felt safe throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the amenities provided — there was a dishwasher and a washing machine with laundry pods available, which was incredibly convenient because I was able to do my laundry during my trip. The kitchen also had plates, glasses, and pots available for use. The only small downside was that there were no utensils, but this was a very minor issue compared to everything else the place offered. It was also in walking distance to a lot of places. Overall, the apartment was well maintained, good value for the money, and truly felt like a home away from home. I really enjoyed my time here and would happily stay again."

"This is a gem ….we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The included breakfast was amazing. The back garden was a delight and a respite to a busy day of sightseeing. The staff were fabulous especially our dear host whose positive attitude and bubbly personality made our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property."

"This was on a fourth floor lockup and was stylishly set up with a loft with stairs and even a slide for little kids. Everything was very modern and compact and the air conditioning working really well. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was less than satisfactory due to problems with Expedia information and difficulty in contact of the owner. We struggled to get check-in information could eventually got it sorted down. Expedia needs to make sure all of our information is correct. And the chat to Old within Expedia and should be accessible by the owner."
